I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected JoshuaāFury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
